2009 New Products Highlights

We have just come back from our Archery Trade Show where we had a chance to see all of the new products coming out for 2009. Here is what we felt were some of the very best.

Tri Van Vanishing arrow rest

This rest should quickly become the best selling arrow rest in the country! The popularity of the Whisker Biscuit is undeniable. We however have never cared for them because of the friction and drag imparted on the arrow. Drop-away rests have always been our preference. This rest combines the two principles into one very functional hunting rest. It is a bristle style full-capture arrow rest. Upon release the bristle arms fire away from the arrow allowing full fletching clearance! We should have some of these in stock in February.

The Magic Box

This is an ingenious bow-mounted rangefinder. The Magic Box uses Aerospace technology to calculate the distance from your treestand to your target. The easy to ready LCD display box mounts to the back of your sight. As you aim at your target it will tell you what distance to shoot for out to 65 yards. This eliminates the need for a hand held laser rangefinder. These should be available in June.

Spott Hogg "Tommy Hogg" Sight

Brian and I both have favored single-pin-adjustable sights over the years. While we have had some very good ones, I have never had one that I was completely satisfied with from a quality standpoint. The Tommy Hogg has a rear controlled yardage adjustment dial that allows for quick and precise adjustment. It also has the ability to be set for micro-click adjustment so you can fine-tune it to the exact yard. The Tommy Hogg has second and third axis level adjustment. These are qualities that are very important at long distances and severe angles. No other adjustable hunting sight offers this. It has the same indestructible build as all Spott Hogg products. We should have these any day.

Axcel Armortec Sight

This is one of the nicest fixed-pin hunting sights we have ever seen. The construction is impeccable and the adjustments are tool less. One very unique feature with this sight is that each pin is individually micro adjustable. This allows you to really fine-tune each pin. You also can have these custom built in pin size. For instance, if you want a .029” pin for twenty a .019 for thirty and .010” for all other distances they will build it that way for you! You can also choose what color fiber optics you want and where! These sights are very reasonably priced for the features. We currently have some in stock.

Hunter X

This is an odor eliminating system that turns oxygen into ozone. The demonstration that sold us was spraying ammonia on a rag and then holding the rag next to this system for 40 seconds. After 40 seconds you could not smell any ammonia! We even carried the rag with us for the entire day to see if the odor would come back. It never did! We have one in as a demo. Come check it out!

Hoyt Alpha Max

The AlphaMax definitely drew more attention than any other bow at the show! We have sold a bunch of these already and people are raving about them! I have been shooting an AlphaMax 35 since late October. I believe that this is the best bow Hoyt has ever built. It is fast, quiet, dead and scary accurate. They have also shaved about ¾ of a pound off of it compared to previous models. It is available in camo, black and black riser camo limbs. A new Bone Collectors version was released at the show featuring a camo handle and black limbs. Come in and try one out!

Muddy Tree Stands

This is a new company that is producing some excellent quality reasonably priced hang-on stands. They also have a unique climbing stick system utilizing a rope system with no buckles. Without buckles there is nothing to clang and make noise as you are installing them on the tree.

Be sure to watch for our 2009 New Product Demo day in March. All New items for 2009 will be discounted for "1 Day" only.....Don't miss this event !!!
